OSB

OSB stands for Orientated Strand Board. OSB Board is an engineered timber sheet product
manufactured from strands of wood layered in specific orientations or directions. Small
strands (1.5 x 15cm) are unevenly layered and orientated before being compressed and
bonded with adhesives.

It is this cross orientation of the strands which gives the OSB board its structural properties.
OSB Board possesses many of the characteristics of plywood, and to this end has replaced
the use of plywood sheets in a number of areas, with its most common uses being as a
sheathing material in walls, floors and ceilings. OSB Boards come in a variety of thicknesses
– the most common being 9mm, 12mm, 15mm and 18mm.

Our main items are OSB2 and OSB3. OSB2 is the most cost effective Sterling board on the
market. It can be used for both structural and non-structural uses in dry conditions.
OSB3 is conditioned to withstand moisture and is thus suitable for use in exterior
environments and is ideal for structural uses such as roofing, flooring, and as a
sheathing board.
Classification of OSB:
OSB-1- is intended for use in conditions of low humidity (furniture, paneling, packaging)
OSB-2- used in the manufacture of load-bearing structures in dry conditions
OSB-3- is used in the manufacture of load-bearing structures in wet conditions
OSB-4- used in the manufacture of designs that carries a large mechanical load in
wet conditions
Tongue - a plate with machined ends of the groove – groove with 2 or 4 sides of the board,
laying on the surface area

shelf, table top for industry ,floor core , concrete for construction ,container flooring ,
bowling alley
*OSB can be used for scale board between solid flooring and keel or base board of laminate
flooring.
*OSB can be used scale board for house or villa construction ,interior panel , insulation board,
acoustic board, ceiling board , wall panel
*OSB can be used in construction as breast board , shuttering board , scale board.
*After laminating ,OSB can be used to manufacture furniture as raw board, drawer-bottom
board,cabinet shelf or partition board ,floor plate , bed board etc.
